Your own podcast, one episode a week, without a microphone

The week's article becomes an episode of your show: two hosts, a script written for the ear, chapters measured from the audio, a music bed under the voices. Record your own voice once and the hosts speak in it.

What it does

  • A show, not a clip

Name, description and cover art, prefilled from your brand and editable. Your feed address, with iTunes tags, for every directory.

  • Two hosts, or one

Pair the hosts as you like (two men, two women, one of each, or solo). Pick from stock voices with previews, or let the AI cast them.

  • Your voice

Record yourself reading a short script we write for your brand, or describe the voice you want. Three voices per site, seated on either host.

  • Chapters and notes

Chapter marks are measured from the audio, not guessed. Notes carry your homepage, your blog and, for a local business, your Google profile.

  • Directories

Spotify, Apple, Amazon and iHeart are a one-time paste of your feed address. Podcast Index is submitted for you.

  • Downloads you can trust

Every episode's audio goes through our counter, so downloads per episode and app show in Analytics. Spotify hosts its own copy and under-counts.

How an episode is made

  1. 1The week's earliest standard article is the episode's subject; other articles that week get none.
  2. 2A script is written for two voices: a conversation, not the article read aloud, with your brand's facts kept straight.
  3. 3The media service renders the voices, measures the chapters and lays a music bed 26 dB under them.
  4. 4The episode is attached to the article, embedded at its bottom and listed in the feed once the article is live.
  5. 5After the first episode, new ones wait until the show is listed on at least one directory, so nobody records into the void.

What you control

  • Show on or off; its name, description and cover art
  • Host pairing, each host's voice, your own recorded or described voices
  • Music style
  • Which directories you have submitted to, with the show links
  • The owner email the directories ask for

Setup steps: help docs.

Questions

How long is an episode?

Usually five to eight minutes: long enough to cover the article's sections, short enough to finish on a commute.

Do I have to record anything?

No. Stock voices sound good. Recording about thirty-five seconds of your own voice is optional and takes a few minutes; you consent explicitly before it is cloned.

Where does the show live?

The feed is hosted by Postiplex at your site's own address. You submit it once to each directory; after that, every new episode appears there on its own.

Is this on the Publish plan?

No. Podcast and video are on Broadcast, because each episode costs real money to make.
